What a great time of year!

The time from thanksgiving to Christmas was an awesomely busy fun time of year.  Cristi was contacted by some friends who live in Riverton,Wyoming and asked if we could come there to speak at their church, United Baptist Church.  A member of the congregation is the Director of Missions in the SBC for Wyoming and he set up for us to speak in Lander Valley Baptist Church that Sunday evening.  What a great trip!  Our friends, Eric and Amy Reid were our neighbors in Misawa, Japan.  They picked us up from the airport in Casper, Wyoming and hosted us for the weekend.  Man, a lot has happened since leaving Japan.  They are missionaries to Native Americans on a reservation in Wyoming.  How awesome is that!  We had a wonderful time with their family.  We met with their pastor, Dr. Whitaker on Sunday morning and he gave us some great advice, and he also gave us the pulpit that Sunday; Cristi and I both shared about our vision for missions and where God is taking us and I preached a message about missions.  What a great church!  They blessed us in prayer and joined in the financial support of the ministry also.  After the service they took us out to eat, and we had more fellowship.  I was thinking, "I don't think this trip could get any better", but it did.  We had great fellowship, generous donation, and prayer.  Thank you United Baptist Church!  We went back to our friend's place for a bit of rest and then we were off to Lander Valley Baptist Church.  Another great place!!  We had a time of food and fellowship in a relaxed, informal gathering where Cristi and I got to share our story on how we were called to missions in Colombia and what we will be doing there.  They also blessed us with generous giving and prayer.  Pastor Shannon has such a heart for missions.  I wish I could have spent so much more time with the people of these churches. Thank you all for joining us in our mission to Colombia!
Thank you Reid family!  Thank you Alanna for giving up your room while we were there!  Abbey continue with the mission work there with your family in Wyoming, and I can't wait to see where God sends you in missions!  Emma thanks for taking such good care of my tablet ;-) Thank you Amy and Eric for everything!  We had such a good time with you all. We have to put in an order for Pegs and Jokers!  One of the best games ever!

  1. Sounds like you had a very profitable trip in every way possible. Dad made a "pegs and Jokers" game board. Would you like one?
