Prayers Needed As We Travel to Chile This Weekend

Can you believe it has almost been 6 months since we arrived here in Peru to begin language learning? Things are going well and we are learning a lot, all of us, including the little kids. Because it has been 6 months we need to ask for a renewal on our passport to stay here. Thus we are writing this blog specifically to ask you all to please pray for our family for safety and God's providence this weekend. We are heading to Chile via bus early in the morning. When we came to Peru we were given 6 months on our passport. On April 8th, our time is up and with that being right around Easter time things are going to get busy here, so we are taking our trip now because it is necessary for us to leave Peru and then come back in to get an extension on our visa. Chile happens to be the closest and cheapest border to cross, so we're headed about 5-6 hours to Chile just across the border and we're going to spend the weekend there visiting the city of Arica and the beach there, a little R&R for the family. When we cross back into Peru on Sunday, we will be requesting an additional 3-4 months to complete our language school. But we have heard that the Chilean border is really strict and doesn't like to give extra time past 6 months, though we know people who have obtained it. So we'd like prayers for a smooth entrance back into Peru and ability to obtain the extra time we need on our passport without any problems. And please pray for the kids on the bus trip. Also, please pray for Crystal who is feeling sick and has a double ear infection, throat infection, and parasites. She just went to the doctor tonight and started taking medicines.
