In August we got to go down to Northern California and watch Cristi's parents Celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony. It was great! What an awesome time. We also got to speak at Feather River Baptist Church. That is the church Cristi and I got married in. It was alot of fun seeing old friends and letting then know what God is doing in our lives. On the way from our home in Wa to Ca we were going through Oregon and our vehicle started shaking so I took the next exit, stopped at alight and as soon as I started going our back tire exploded. Boy was it loud. Good Sam auto club and Les Schwab to the rescue. Got a new tire on and we were off! Made it the rest of the way with no problem.
While we were in California we were also able to speak at Rancho Tehama Community Church and a mens group at Stoney Ford Community Church. These are two Village Mission Churches in northern California. If you are not familiar with Village Missions check out their Website at www.villagemissions.org.
On our way home my oldest son got to see what it was like to have the tread separate from a tire. Yes we lost another tire. Good Sam to the rescue again! This time we got towed to J and J Truck and Tire. The tread broke the line to the rear heater. The guys at J and J fixed us up and we made it the rest of the way home without further incident. Thank God for His protection!
